Everton fans are fearing the worst after the Liverpool Echo claimed Sam Allardyce could well fulfil his contract with the club.

It’s been a long, arduous season for Everton fans, but most of them have got through it with the assumption that Sam Allardyce will leave the club this summer.

While a minority of fans are grateful to Big Sam for securing their Premier League status, his uninspiring tactics and smug demeanour have angered the vast majority.

Links to the likes of Paulo Fonseca and ex-Watford man Marco Silva have been heating up, but local reports now suggest Allardyce could in fact stay.

The former England boss has a contract until the summer of 2019, and owner Farhad Moshiri could yet decide to let the manager fulfil that deal.

Moshiri is said to be considering a long-term plan, which could be aided by the stability another year of Allardyce would bring.

Most fans have already had enough of Big Sam though, and want change sooner rather than later.
