Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Everton fans, yet another debacle has occurred at the club, which could further distance the supporters from the current set up at Goodison Park.

According to The Daily Mail, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has already held discussions with Sam Allardyce over the managerial vacancy on Merseyside. However, the report also confirms that Director of Football Steve Walsh has also made contact with the former England boss. And following these talks, it is reported that Allardyce would want former Leicester man Craig Shakespeare as an assistant.

This hardly seems like coincidental news, given that Walsh worked closely with Shakespeare during his time with the Foxes.
