Davy Klaassen was included in Ronald Koeman’s spending spree at Everton last summer.
Unfortunately for the Dutchman, though, he failed to cement a regular spot in the team’s midfield.
In the end, Koeman was sacked, and now Klaassen finds himself in limbo at Goodison Park, with new manager Marco Silva putting a new squad together.
During the 2017-18 campaign, the former Ajax star, who is valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, made just seven Premier League appearances.
According to German publication Kreiszeitung, talks are underway between Everton and Werder Bremen regarding the sale of Klaassen.
The report states that the Merseyside outfit are willing to sell for around £11.6m, which is significantly less than the £25m Everton paid to nab his signature from Ajax.
Plenty of fans had wanted the midfielder to come good, but it is unlikely that he will be given a prominent role under Silva.
After the reports emerged, some Everton fans expressed a desire for Klaassen to be sold.
