Everton signed Jordan Pickford from Sunderland in the summer of 2017, and credit must be given to former Toffees boss Ronald Koeman for bringing the goalkeeper to the club.

Pickford had just starred for a Sunderland team that were relegated from the Premier League, and Everton took what was a punt on the stopper.

Since then, Pickford has become England's undisputed number one goalkeeper, and has arguably developed into one of the finest stoppers in the Premier League.

It has been some rise for Pickford, and his importance to Everton was shown when he signed a new long-term contract in September.

The Everton fans absolutely love the Englishman, and many have paid tribute to the goalkeeper following Sunday's goalless draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Pickford made a string of fine stops against the Blues, and his performance led to Everton fans claiming that they are blessed to have him at their club.
