Everton have been linked with a move for Yerry Mina, and fans would absolutely love to sign the towering centre back.
You won’t find many defenders that average a goal per game at the World Cup, and Everton are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Colombia’s goalscoring colossus.
According to The Liverpool Echo, The Toffees have already made contact with Barcelona over a potential deal for the highly rated 23 year-old.
Mina is expected to leave the Catalan giants just six months after joining them, as the 6 ft 5 youngster has struggled to break into the side and they are now lining up Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet.
His three World Cup headers aren’t all that surprising, as the beastly defender averages a goal every six games for club and country in his career, a truly remarkable statistic.
He’s not a bad defender either, boasting seven clearances per game alongside Davinson Sanchez in Russia this summer, and also winning nearly five aerial duels per game.
Everton have been linked with moves for the likes of Alfie Mawson and Jamaal Lascelles this summer, and while Mina doesn’t have any Premier League experience, he has all the physical tools to be an absolute beast alongside Michael Keane.
Fans have been reacting to the links on Twitter, and you can find some of the best reactions down below…
