It would be fair to say that Lucas Digne was not too impressive defensively during Everton’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
However, the full-back came up trumps in the latter stages when he provided a wonderful cross for Richarlison to secure all three points for the Toffees.
Wolves had answered back on two separate occasions to level the scores at 2-2, with Digne not covering himself in glory for either of the away side’s goals.
Adama Traore tricked his way past the Frenchman to create Wolves’ first strike, while Digne was beaten at the back post by Raul Jimenez for the visitors’ second.

The former Barcelona ace was consistently dangerous down the other end of the field, though, and Everton have him to thank for playing a huge role in Richarlison’s second goal.
And the Everton fans were absolutely delighted with Digne’s performance once again.

Lunas how the heck did you get that ball past Docherty for Richy to head the winner. Absolute perfection. Best left back in Europe. France will come knocking for sure and both you and Djibril will cause havoc. Well played. Next time take Traore out, worth the risk. COYB.
