A returning Leighton Baines helped Everton to a 2-0 victory on Saturday in the English Premier League, beating Brighton & Hove Albion to get back on track after two consecutive defeats.

Baines had been out of action since November after suffering a knee injury against Southampton, but popped up to provide the assist for Cenk Tosun, who scored the Toffees' second of the afternoon.

The left-back was also a major reason they kept a clean sheet, the club's first one in 2018.

Fans were absolutely delighted to see him back in action, believing he's a key player for their side, despite being a veteran at 33 years of age.

Sam Allardyce's side have lacked a natural left-back and it'll be interesting to see if the return of their vice-captain can help stabilising their defence in the closing stages of the season.

With not much to play for in the final eight games, fans are at least hoping to see signs of improvement ahead of the summer.

Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Baines' performance...
