It is safe to say that the majority of Everton fans were not too overjoyed when Sam Allardyce was appointed as manager this week.

The 63-year-old has bags of experience having coaches the likes of Newcastle United, West Ham United, Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

However, Allardyce - commonly known as 'Big Sam' - has a reputation of playing long-ball football and recently has been called upon to save clubs from relegation.

Prior to this afternoon's game against Huddersfield Town, the Merseyside outfit were lingering two points above the drop in the Premier League.

The game started off frustratingly for the Toffees as Dominic Calvert-Lewin looked isolated up top.

In the end, though, second-half goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Calvert-Lewin gave Everton a crucial win and lifted them to 10th in th table.

After the final whistle, some fans seemingly changed their tune about the new manager, who signed an 18-month contract at Goodison Park.
