Loads of Everton fans have been reacting rather hilariously to a worrying anniversary, as Friday marks one year since the Toffees hired Sam Allardyce.
Everton have come a long way in a short space of time under Marco Silva, and plenty of fans are having their say on Big Sam’s tenure.
The former England boss was never really popular at Goodison due to his style of play, but as the season went on the atmosphere surrounding the club went from infuriated to genuinely toxic.

This was mainly due to the manager’s total inability to connect with and understand the fans, something Silva has done almost immediately.
The Portuguese tactician has brought attacking, free-flowing football to Goodison, and the Toffees head to Anfield on Sunday knowing three points will put them within touching distance of the top four.
Allardyce will almost certainly be back in the Premier League by the end of the season, and judging from the Twitter reactions down below Everton fans are extremely thankful it won’t be with them…

Some say he did a job. Many could have also done the same job with the quality we had. Offered end of season contract, greedy and pushed for a longer contract knowing full well he’d be paid off. Took the money and ran. Now spends his days belittling fans on talksport. Nice man.

Please don’t do this to us – not on a Friday. And definitely not two days before we have to visit that hell hole…? pic.twitter.com/K91OEcoW65
