Oumar Niasse has not exactly had the easiest of times at Everton, but the statistics show that the striker has scored five times in seven Premier League games this season.
Including two appearances for Everton’s Under-23 team, Niasse, who is valued at £8.1m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has managed nine goals in 11 matches this term, which is extremely impressive at any level of football.
The 27-year-old was again on the scoresheet against Crystal Palace at the weekend, but he is now facing a ban after being charged with ‘successful deception of a match official’ by the Football Association following a penalty incident at Selhurst Park.
He is not the first and will not be the last Premier League player to attempt to a penalty this season, and Everton fans have not changed their opinion of the Senegal international.
On Tuesday, Everton’s official Twitter account posted a video of the striker insisting that he would fight to be the club’s number one forward this season.
The Everton supporters received Niasse’s words extremely well as they backed him to continue impressing for the struggling Toffees.
Hard work and having the correct attitude goes an awfully long way in football, as Niasse has shown.

I wouldn't worry about fighing for it Oumar. It's already in the bag, because you're doing really well and there is literally no one else.

Not everyone’s first choice with or without competition 😆but no one can fault his effort of determination a few in our squad could learn off this lad

He's working hard and scoring goals. More than any of our other strikers are doing at the moment.

The lad needs to be. 5 goals in 7 games is a great run so far

Absolute gent! Well done at the weekend son! Clearly our best striker but I fear they will still pick Rooney over him next week
