Everton suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they lost for the first time under the leadership of Marco Silva.
The Toffees were missing a number of key players, but there is no getting away from the fact that it was a desperately disappointing performance from the team.
Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are amongst those to have been criticised, whilst the Everton fans are also not best pleased with Silva.
There were positives, however, and one of those recognised by the Everton supporters was the performance of summer arrival from Barcelona Lucas Digne.
Digne might have ended the match with two or three assists if Tosun was able to finish, and the Frenchman caused West Ham constant problems down the left.
The 5ft 10 ace’s arrival was some coup for Everton when considering the standard of the teams he has represented, and the club’s supporters have taken to him already.
Leighton Baines might well have to get used to sitting on the sidelines.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Everton supporters can be seen below:

Digne and Bernard the only positives from yesterday. Still can’t believe what I witnessed I have absolutely zero confidence in Everton’s defence. This is Silva’s down fall and for the sake of the club never mind is managerial career it needs to be sorted. #EFC

Our two best players this season are Richarlison and Digne, so no surprise! I still think he’s not got all the players he wants though. Our two best available CMs are defensive, so he’s already starting with his hands tied behind his back.

Good point, forgot to mention – Digne was MOTM!

Digne was our best player by far! That lad is quality!

Digne only positive today, give him a quality forward to aim at and things will be different. Shame we’ve failed to sign one since Rom left, massive failure of various management teams
