Everton suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they lost for the first time under the leadership of Marco Silva.

The Toffees were missing a number of key players, but there is no getting away from the fact that it was a desperately disappointing performance from the team.

Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are amongst those to have been criticised, whilst the Everton fans are also not best pleased with Silva.

There were positives, however, and one of those recognised by the Everton supporters was the performance of summer arrival from Barcelona Lucas Digne.

Digne might have ended the match with two or three assists if Tosun was able to finish, and the Frenchman caused West Ham constant problems down the left.

The 5ft 10 ace's arrival was some coup for Everton when considering the standard of the teams he has represented, and the club's supporters have taken to him already.

Leighton Baines might well have to get used to sitting on the sidelines.
