Some Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was revealed by Paul Joyce of The Times that a second bid for Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure had been rejected by the Hornets.

The offer was believed to be worth £36.7m, and comes after an opening bid of £30m was rejected a few days ago.

Toffees boss Marco Silva knows the French midfielder well having worked with him during his time at Vicarage Road, although Watford are said to be adamant that the 26-year-old will not be sold.

Everton have already signed three midfielders this summer in Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin, so the need for yet another one seems fairly small.

Thogden challenged himself to DM 100 footballers on Instagram. Find out who replied in the video below...

However, two bids for the man who scored five goals last term suggests the Merseysiders aren't keen on letting this one slip away - it will be interesting to see what happens before Thursday's deadline.

Let's take a look at how the Everton fans on Twitter reacted to the news...
