Lots of Everton fans have been reacting to some contract news, as the club announced that Joe Anderson has penned his first professional deal.
Anderson has signed a two-year deal that will keep him at Goodison until June 2021, the Toffees confirmed on their official site.
The 18 year-old, who plays primarily as a centre back, made 43 appearances in all competitions for the under-18 side last season, scoring once. He can also play left-back or even in midfield.
“To sign a professional deal for such a big club, you can’t ask for any more,” Anderson told evertonfc.com. “It was what I’ve dreamed of as a kid.”

Lots of fans have been reacting to the news, and it appears feelings are very positive towards the teenage defender.
Having been a constant in the under-18 side that finished third in their division and reached the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup, there is certainly plenty of potential there.
Other fans meanwhile have merely been entertained by the fact that the young starlet shares a name with Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson, who gets loads of stick from Reds for being a Toffees fan.
