Arguably one of the most in-form strikers in Europe heading into the January transfer window, Cenk Tosun was one of the hottest properties in football and many clubs were sniffing around the then Besiktas striker.
Amazingly, Everton beat off all competition and landed the Turkish international for £27 million in January.
However, since his move to Merseyside, the striker, who is valued at £20.7 million by Transfermarkt, has managed just four appearances and looks a shell of the player he was at the start of the current campaign.
While there is no doubt that adjusting to life in a new country can be hard, it does seem that Tosun has not been given a fair crack at the whip by Sam Allardyce.
And now, reports in Turkey are stating that the 26-year-old could be heading back to Besiktas on-loan in the summer, with Allardyce ready to cut his losses on the forward.
Upon hearing the news, Everton fans took to Twitter and they were not impressed by the reports or their club…
Who can blame him

Jesus wept.. Right! That's it! Can we just pack up Everton FC and cease to exist anymore? It's probably for the best. ?

Another embarrassment to add to the list this season! What has happened to our club?

When are we going to start scouting players properly and checking their suitability to the English game, climate etc. It is embarrassing from top to bottom. Walsh and Allardyce need to go in the summer and Moshiri needs to make sensible decisions on who to replace them with

I wish he could hang out and wait for end of season first. Allardyce has to go before or at end of season and new manager might give Tosun the chance he deserves. Would be great to get a link up with Turkish fans and great opportunity to get future Turkish players in to Everton.
