Arguably one of the most in-form strikers in Europe heading into the January transfer window, Cenk Tosun was one of the hottest properties in football and many clubs were sniffing around the then Besiktas striker.

Amazingly, Everton beat off all competition and landed the Turkish international for £27 million in January.

However, since his move to Merseyside, the striker, who is valued at £20.7 million by Transfermarkt, has managed just four appearances and looks a shell of the player he was at the start of the current campaign.

While there is no doubt that adjusting to life in a new country can be hard, it does seem that Tosun has not been given a fair crack at the whip by Sam Allardyce.

And now, reports in Turkey are stating that the 26-year-old could be heading back to Besiktas on-loan in the summer, with Allardyce ready to cut his losses on the forward.
