Everton fans react as Sam Allardyce says Cenk Tosun is struggling with his fitness

Everton manager Sam Allardyce says that £27m January signing Cenk Tosun is struggling with his fitness and the weather having barely featured in the Premier League in recent weeks, and Toffees fans have been quick to have their say on the comments.

The Turkey international started against Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion in January following his big-money move from Besiktas, but he has since played just 13 minutes in their previous three top flight matches and he was an unused substitute in the 3-1 win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.

According to Sky Sports, the 63-year-old boss said: “He is struggling with the pace of the Premier League which happens to more players than it doesn’t who come in in January.

“When it is chucking it down with rain, it is not that he is not used to it, he is, but it’s freezing.”

Everton supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on Allardyce’s words, and while one said he’s “just making the player look stupid”, another said “he has to play him to get used to the pace and find those scoring positions”.
