Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to a very promising transfer update, as reports claim the Toffees want to sign a proven striker in January.
Richarlison has been an excellent signing from Marco Silva and the Toffees, but the youngster has struggled at times when deployed as a central striker.
He was often isolated and simply outmuscled by Liverpool’s colossal centre back pairing at Anfield, and Silva must take the pressure off him by signing a recognised goalscorer.
According to Times reporter Paul Joyce, Silva will do exactly that by moving for a new striker in January.
While there is no report on who that striker will be, it is great news for Richarlison, who will flourish back in his natural position on the wing.
Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin simply aren’t good enough to take Silva’s side to the next level, and loads of fans are having their say on which striker they should sign.
The Toffees finally getting the proven goalscorer they have missed since Romelu Lukaku would be a momentous deal, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

Still think Batshuayi is a good option if Chelsea is willing to let him come.

Be difficult to sign a proven striker in January. I’d try and get Gabigol on loan then wait til the summer when others are available. Gomes should be our only permanent transfer in January

Realistically Andre Belotti. Italian international Plays for Torino in Italy. He’s only 24 and has around 50 goals in 100 games tor them in a really poor team. With decent players assisting him he could easily get 20+ in the prem.
