Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to a potentially huge transfer update, as reports claim the Toffees are chasing Colombian World Cup star Wilmar Barrios.

According to AS Argentina, Everton are ready to make a move for Barrios in January, and the player is willing to join.

The report says Everton have been tracking the tough-tackling midfielder for some time, and the interest has perhaps intensified due to PSG’s reported interest in Idrissa Gueye.

FFC's James Jones has identified the one thing that could cost Liverpool the title. Find out what it is in the video below...

Like Gueye, Barrios is best known for his ability to break up play, and he is averaging a remarkable 4.2 tackles per game for Boca Juniors this season, while also committing 3.8 fouls per game.

The 25 year-old was sensational for Colombia at the World Cup, and he completely bossed the midfield against England, completing 82 per cent of his passes and making four tackles.

He also exchanged a few words and elbows with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, something it seems Everton fans haven’t forgotten about.
