Everton midfielder Tom Davies has pulled out of the England U21 squad after suffering a minor hamstring injury, and Toffees fans have been quick to have their say on the news.

The 19-year-old linked up with the young Three Lions earlier this week but he has had to withdraw with the problem, meaning he will return to Merseyside to recover and recuperate.
While no time frame has been given on when he will back, the fact that it is a minor issue suggests that he will be fit and available to face fellow strugglers Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park a week on Saturday.
Davies has become a regular in the Toffees side under Ronald Koeman and then caretaker manager David Unsworth this season after making 19 appearances in all competitions, but he arguably hasn’t been at his best as the club has struggled in recent weeks.
Everton supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the news, and while one said “oh dear, what a shame, never mind”, another said it’s “a good thing” as he looks like he needs a rest.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
