Lots of Everton fans are reacting to an update on the future of Bassala Sambou, who could follow Jonjoe Kenny to Germany.
According to the Echo’s report, Sambou has rejected a new contract offer from the club, and will now leave when his current deal runs out at the end of this week.
The 21 year-old is seeking regular first-team football and does not see a path through for him at Goodison, perhaps surprising given the club’s current woes in the striking department.
Sambou is now wanted by clubs in Germany and the Netherlands, claims the report, after scoring 11 times in 25 games for Everton’s youth sides last season.
Plenty of fans have been weighing on the news, and while a couple are annoyed to lose a talented youngster, others are simply wishing him the best, admiring his decision to take the plunge and pursue regular football.
Either way, you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Doesn't really make sense with our bringing youth through policies, walking away on a free? Typical, sort it out!

Good luck to him, good attitude of wanting to play footy and not just taking the money and seeing what happened, wish the best for him

Fair play to him for wanting first team football but that first team football will not be in the PL anytime soon. He has some good attributes but his finishing particularly in 1v1 is poor. Frees up a spot for Simms/Hornby
