According to The Mirror, Everton could sell centre-back Michael Keane at the end of the current season.
Keane, who is valued at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk, joined Everton from Burnley in last summer’s transfer window, with the Toffees paying £25m to bring the 25-year-old to Goodison Park.
However, it has been reported that Everton boss Sam Allardyce has been unimpressed with the former Manchester United youngster, and would be prepared to sell for the right price when the summer transfer window opens for business.
Everton have been pretty rotten defensively this season, with Keane, Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka all being criticised.
It appears that the Everton fans are desperate to keep hold of Keane, however, with many reacting negatively to suggestions that the defender, who was so impressive for Burnley during the 2016-17 campaign, could be sold by Allardyce this summer.
A selection of the Twitter reaction to the transfer rumour can be seen below:
Not had the best season but has got the potential to be great. Get rid of jags and Williams. Keep him Holgate and see how funes mori gets on

I think selling Michael Keane would be stupid

Can’t see it. He’s a good player that as struggled. He will get better and tbh, besides Arsenal, he’s started to play better of late

It would be stupid for Everton to sell Michael Keane. Give him a run of games and a consistent partner and he'll be quality.

Selling Michael Keane seems very counterintuitive. He’s young, and has potential to grow. Shouldn’t be shafted so soon.
Plus, if he leaves and we stick with Ashley Williams at the back, we should riot.

I genuinely think I’m the only one who likes Michael Keane ?

Everton to sell Michael Keane? A player who's not played with the same centre back partner for three consecutive games and has struggled with injuries all season?
Naaah. Williams and Jagielka will be moving on before him. The club need to stick with the younger players. #EFC

Premature considering we have 2 CB over 30, one coming back from injury who is shite and another who’s just got injured. Some strong performances lately bar the arsenal game. Wouldn’t cash in just yet.
