Everton fans have reacted to the news that Fabian Delph has joined the growing injury list at Goodison Park. It has been reported that the Englishman has pulled out of the squad after arriving to England camp with an injury.
The 29-year-old was hopeful of playing in the Three Lions’ forthcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers, but has had to return to Merseyside for rehabilitation.
In the past few weeks, Andre Gomes’ awful injury has forced him on the sidelines for many months, whilst Jean-Philippe Gbamin is still not expected back until January.
Now, there is another injury in the middle of the park for Marco Silva to deal with and fans are seemingly familiar with the unfortunate news. One fan joked he is “made out of pasta”, whilst many other supporters have touched on how injury-prone Delph has been down the years.
The worry for the Toffees is not just the injury to crucially important players, it is also the lack of ability that comes in.
Morgan Schneiderlin has had a torrid season so far, averaging a rating of 6.16 in the Premier League.
Now, with three key injuries, the Frenchman will most likely be forced to play a prominent role in the starting XI.
Here’s what a select few have had to say about the club’s latest disaster…
