According to The Mirror, Everton are interested in signing Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof in this summer's transfer window.

Lindelof joined United from Benfica last summer, and it would be fair to say that the defender struggled to make his mark during his first season at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old made 29 appearances for the Red Devils, but he largely struggled to nail down a position in the first XI, particularly in the Premier League.

United boss Jose Mourinho is still believed to be confident in Lindelof's abilities, but according to The Mirror, Everton are considering a move for the Sweden international this summer.

It would certainly be a surprise if United let him leave after just one season, especially when considering that he cost more than £31m last summer.

The Everton fans have been reacting to the transfer speculation on social media, and there does seem to be differing opinions on whether the centre-back, who is valued at £22.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, would be a good signing.

That said, the majority appear to be against the deal taking place.
