Some Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was confirmed that a £52m bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has been rejected.
The Ivory Coast international has emerged as a target for the Toffees, who looked to have gained the upper hand in the race for his signature after Arsenal turned their attentions to Nicolas Pepe, but their opening offer has been rejected.
Palace are adamant that their No.11 will not be leaving Selhurst Park this summer, and no club has yet come close to getting anywhere near their £80m valuation of the 26-year-old.
It remains to be seen whether or not Marco Silva’s side go back in with another offer, but Palace wasted no time in swatting their £52m bid aside so you would expect it to be a difficult move to complete – Zaha has also said he wants Champions League football.
Let’s take a look at how some Everton fans on Twitter reacted to the rejected bid…
Really hope Palace stick to their guns here, don’t rate or like the guy.

up it to £55m and include McCarthy and Cenk Tosun

Swerve him. Imagine blowing 70m on a lad that’s half Richarlisons ability

Give them Walcott and Tosun!

I like Zaha but the asking price is getting out of hand. Better to get an effective striker who can produce 20 goals a season and ensure that he gets the support and assists any centre forward needs.

£55M for Zaha rejected… what a time to be alive.
