Lots of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to send Phil Jagielka their best wishes after the centre-back rejoined Sheffield United on a one-year deal.
The former England international left Goodison Park at the end of last season after his contract expired, meaning that a 12-year stay on Merseyside came to an end in the process.
Thogden challenged himself to DM 100 footballers on Instagram. Find out who replied in the video below…
The 36-year-old had fallen out of favour under Marco Silva and made just seven appearances in the 2018/19 campaign, with just four of those being from the opening whistle.
Jagielka spent the first seven years of his career with the Blades before signing for Everton in a £4m deal, but the 6 foot defender now returns to Bramall Lane after Chris Wilder guided the club back into the Premier League.
Given how long he spent with the Toffees and his loyal services over the years, he is held in high regard by Everton fans and a lot of supporters on Twitter haven’t hesitated to send their best wishes to the centre-back.
Let’s take a look at some of the best tweets…
