It just gets worse and worse…
In arguably one of the most shambolic performances by any English club in Europe, Everton were thoroughly outplayed by Atalanta at Goodison Park eventually losing 5-1 in their Europa League tie.
There were simply too many horrific performances to mention by a club who seem to be in genuine danger of capitulating in every competition this season.
While there were one or two young players bought into the team on Thursday evening, the field was still packed with “talent”, including five of Everton’s summer signings, who cost nearly £100million between them.
One of these signings had a night to forget on Merseyside. Michael Keane, who is valued at £16.2million by Transfermarkt, put in arguably the worst performance of his promising career and cost Everton numerous times with his atrocious, lacklustre defending.
There is one thing that Michael Keane should not do tonight when reflecting on the game and that is look on Twitter, where Everton fans quite rightly tore the England man to shreds for his display…
Michael Keane for £30m is lowkey one of the worst signings of the summer. What’s worse, it’s not even Everton’s worst.

Keane’s performance tonight is one of the worst individual performances I’ve ever seen in an Everton shirt, in a very long time.

Worryingly, it was a first-choice defender in Keane who was so easily skirted by Castagne in that attack. Serious concerns about him at the moment

Keane is crap. I don’t say that often if at all about our players but he’s awful.
