Everton fans are split over Dominic Calvert-Lewin, after the youngster scored twice in Wednesday night’s win over Rotherham.
Everton progressed to the next round of the Carabao Cup in style on Wednesday, cruising past Rotherham with a 3-1 victory at Goodison Park.
Lucas Digne was exceptional and Gylfi Sigurdsson is starting to look back to his best, but fans can’t decide on Calvert-Lewin.
The young striker scored twice in the match, rising high at the back post to score the second before curling in a delightful finish late on.
However, the 21 year-old hasn’t always had the goalscoring touch, perhaps why plenty of fans don’t think he is good enough to provide adequate support for Cenk Tosun.

The Toffees aren’t loaded with depth up front, and an injury to Tosun would leave them heavily reliant on the youngster, who has just five Premier League goals in 43 appearances.
On the other hand, the youngster is quick, hard-working, 6 ft 2 in tall, puts himself about, and clearly loves playing for the club.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is so under-rated. He's not going to score 20 goals this season, even if he started every game, but the work he does for the team is brilliant and his hold up play is absolutely excellent. Just like Tosun, he can be a great foil for the three behind him #EFC

There is somethig about DCL that I feel will come good – like Graeme Sharpe. Give him time and coaching to develope and we could have a star on our hands.

Completely agree and have always been a huge fan of his. He has the physical attributes to be a very good player for us.

Calvert-Lewin to kick on and prove everyone wrong now please, looked a proper finisher tonight which is what he missed last season. My man
