Everton fans split on Klaassen exit talks

Everton fans are split on the future of Davy Klaassen, after a report from the Telegraph claimed he has been told to find a new club this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Marco Silva is willing to give Morgan Schneiderlin a fresh start at Goodison, but will not offer the same opportunity to Klaassen, Ashley Williams or Kevin Mirallas.

The report says all three players have been told to find new clubs, as Silva and new director of football try to trim the Toffees’ massive squad and wage bill.

Williams has taken plenty of stick from fans this season, and probably won’t be missed, and Mirallas was a fan favourite not too long ago but has gone completely off the boil in recent seasons.

Klaassen is splitting opinion however, as some fans are desperate to see the playmaker get a chance.

The Dutchman arrived from Ajax last summer for a fee in the region of £24m, having nearly 50 league goals during his time with the Dutch giants.

The 25 year-old played just seven times in the league for Everton though, and couldn’t force his way into the plans of either Ronald Koeman or Sam Allardyce.

Some fans are desperate to see their big summer signing under a more attacking manager, while others think the signs all point to an early exit.
