Nikola Vlasic joined Everton from Hajduk Split in 2017, and scored twice in 19 appearances for the Toffees during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 20-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at the start of this season, however, and sent on loan to Russian outfit CSKA Moscow.

Vlasic is playing in the Champions League for CSKA this season, and made a big impression in their Group G opener with Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday night.

Indeed, Vlasic set up Fedor Chalov for CSKA's first of the match, before netting a 95th-minute equaliser from the penalty spot to help his team rescue a point.

There is no question that the Croatian would have been pleased with his performance, and the Everton fans have been on social media discussing the attacker.

Vlasic still belongs to Everton, and might well go on to forge a successful career at Goodison Park, but that is currently open to debate.
