Everton fans still pushing for Allardyce exit despite win

Everton fans would have breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday afternoon following a much-needed victory for the club.

The Merseyside outfit headed into the match against Brighton having won just two of their previous 11 Premier League outings.

As a result, the club dropped to 11th in the table, but they have since moved back up to ninth position following a 2-0 triumph at Goodison Park.

An own goal from Gaetan Bong and a hit from Cenk Tosun ensured that Everton snatched all three points.

The scoreline could have been by a bigger margin had Wayne Rooney not had his penalty saved in the latter stages of the contest.

Overall, it was a positive day for the Toffees, but plenty of fans are still pushing for manager Sam Allardyce to leave the club.

The recent form has not been forgotten, but the experienced coach has admitted that he wants to stay beyond this season.

Following Saturday’s result, fans continued to call for Allardyce’s head.
