Kurt Zouma enjoyed a successful loan spell with Everton during the 2018/19 campaign, before returning to Chelsea during the summer.
Rather than making a permanent move to Goodison Park – with former Toffees manager Marco Silva keen to bring him back to Merseyside on a full-time basis – the 6 foot 3 centre-back remained at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old has gone on to make 25 appearances in all competitions to date this term, including a start against Duncan Ferguson’s men on Saturday.
He was far from impressive as he struggled against the physicality of two-goal man Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and it led to a question on Twitter to Toffees supporters as to whether they would still take the Frenchman – as you can see below, the consensus was pretty clear.
One said that they would “take him in a heartbeat”, while another feels that him and Yerry Mina “could be a solid CB pairing for years”.
If a player fits, he fits. He would still walk into our back line. Him and Mina could be a solid CB pairing for years.

Some players just play better for certain clubs. Zouma fitted in and get at home with us. If we were to buy him I think he would be fantastic.

He’s better than all three of our current centre backs so the answer has got to be yes. https://t.co/xDRTOI9EjO

Yes. He just needed to feel loved. Him, Keane, Holgate and Mina are what we need

#freezouma would love is to sign him

Other fans clearly would take him but were a little more picky on the terms of any potential deal for Zouma, with one saying they want him “as long as the price is right”.
Did he play for Everton? Simple question but a lot tougher than you think…
If Chelsea were to demand a big fee for the France international, then those supporters are very well within their rights to feel a little bit sceptical.
If we’re to continue with our high defensive line we need pace at the back. Zouma ticks that box but so do 1000’s of other CB’s.
Buy if thd price is right – max £30m

Only for £15 – £20 million

As long as price is right eg Johnny Evans rejected by Man Utd got being below par snapped up by Leicester got bargain price and now solid as rock. I’m sure Duncan could sort Zouma

Finally, another said that he wasn’t terrible and despite the fact that he often “got bullied” by Calvert-Lewin at the weekend, he’d still “have him back”.
Judging by how many appearances he’s made under Frank Lampard this term, it seems like a bit of a no-brainer for Everton should the opportunity arise.
He wasn’t terrible, he just got bullied by DCL! I’d have him back
