Marco Silva's first Premier League match as Everton manager was an entertaining one as he oversaw a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Summer signing Richarlison opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Ruben Neves equalised for Wolves just before half-time.

Richarlison scored a second for Everton in the second half, but with 10 minutes of normal time remaining, Raul Jimenez nabbed a point for the home side.

In the first half there was a controversial moment when Phil Jagielka was sent off for a challenge on Diogo Jota.

It looked as though the Everton defender got a touch on the ball when he moved in for the tackle, but referee Craig Pawson deemed it a straight red card.

Despite having a valid argument, the Liverpool Echo reports that the Toffees will not appeal the dismissal, which means that Jagielka will have to serve a three-match ban.

Some Everton fans are struggling to see the logic in this decision.
