Everton fans have taken to Twitter to type some hard-hitting comments towards Tom Davies for his performance against Leicester.

The Toffees threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Brendan Rodgers' side in stoppage time, after Kelechi Iheanacho slotted past Jordan Pickford with seconds left on the clock.

The defeat means that Marco Silva has now only won two of his last ten Premier League games as Everton's boss, and four in total across the league campaign - the Merseysiders sit 17th, just two points off the bottom three.

Davies in particular wasn't in the best of form, to say the least.

The Everton academy graduate completed just 70.6% of his passes, while also seeing just two of his attempted five long balls come off.

Davies, 21, missed his tackle in the build-up to Jamie Vardy's equaliser, and was simply anonymous throughout the 90 minutes as Wilfried Ndidi on the opposition side bossed the midfield battle.

One fan said that Davies "should never wear the shirt again" with another Everton supporter stating that the youngster delivered the worst performance they have even seen.

Let's take a look at some more of the Twitter reaction...
