Sandro Ramirez signed for Everton in the summer of 2017 when then-manager Ronald Koeman unleashed a spending spree.

The Spaniard was recruited in the hope of filling in the gap left behind by Romelu Lukaku.

However, Ramirez has failed to live up to expectation as he has made just 16 appearances, scoring one goal and created two assists.

Under new manager Marco Silva it was unclear if the forward would have a future.

The 23-year-old appeared in a handful of pre-season friendlies, and on Wednesday night he was part of the squad that earned a 3-1 win over Rotherham United in the EFL Cup.

However, it has now been confirmed that Ramirez will not be part of the club's plans this season as he will spend the campaign on loan at Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Ramirez is well-versed in Spanish football having played for Malaga and Barcelona, where he came through the club's academy.

Everton fans have been preparing for Ramirez's exit for some time, and after it was officially confirmed, the supporters posted their views on Twitter.
