Everton fans think dumping Niasse is a big mistake

Everton fans aren’t to happy about the latest transfer news, as reports suggest popular striker Oumar Niasse could be sold this summer.

Turkish outlet Fanatik claim Oumar Niasse will be the subject of interest from Galatasaray this summer, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The report claims the Turkish champions are long term admirers of Niasse, having monitored him since his 2013-14 season with Akhisar Belediyespor, where he scored 12 league goals in 34 appearances.

Niasse was poorly treated at Everton by Ronald Koeman, and his chances were fairly limited under Sam Allardyce as well.

Despite this, the 28 year-old has endeared himself to fans with his work rate and positivity, and actually registered the most shots on target of any Everton player in the Premier League this season, despite only making 22 appearances.

The Senegalese international scored eight times across those 22 games, and fans think it would be a big mistake to let him go.

With no manager currently at the helm, one would have to think any transfer decisions in the near future will be made by new director of football Marcel Brands, and fans clearly think this would be a bad first move to make.
