When Ronald Koeman oversaw a transfer window that involved more than £100m being spent on new signings, Everton fans got excited.
However, some of those new players failed to impress, and in the end, Koeman was sacked as manager when the club dropped towards the relegation zone.
Now, Marco Silva is in charge, and the Merseyside outfit have had another spending spree, with Richarlison, Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes, Bernard, Kurt Zouma and Yerry Mina all joining the club.

The latter capture, in particular, is an exciting one as the 23-year-old has joined from Barcelona to help boost Everton's defence.
Given that Mina moved to Goodison Park on transfer deadline day, he has not had much time to settle into life in England.
In fact, the Colombian centre-back has only had one training session under Silva, hence why he was not involved against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day of the season.

Ahead of Saturday's fixture against Southampton, Everton fans on Reddit discussed which back four Silva should select, and many agreed that it was best not to rush Mina.
Some are concerned that mistakes that Koeman made will repeat themselves if new players are thrown into the mix too quickly.
