Everton were no match for Manchester City in their English Premier League encounter on Saturday, the home side falling to a 3-1 defeat against Pep Guardiola’s outfit.
The Toffees don’t have much left to play for this season but fans are hoping to see improvement under Sam Allardyce.
However, they were again left frustrated with the way he set up his team against the visitors on Saturday evening, believing they were far too negative and invited pressure on themselves.
The pressure will now be on the Toffees to produce a confident performance against city rivals Liverpool next week.
Can Allardyce set out his side to show ambition and go for the win against the Reds?
Some supporters are so fed up they already want the former England boss to exit the club, believing a change in the summer could be what the club need to move forward.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts…

Man City’s movement in the first half was outstanding but Everton made it so easy for them, looked completely inept without the ball and tactically clueless. Too big for allardyce. #EVEMCI #efc #Everton

Tactical suicide Sam Allardyce. 2 immobile Centre mids against the best midfield 3/4 in the league. So, so obvious what’s going to happen. Pathetic excuse for an Everton manager, pathetic excuse for a club that’s he’s still here. #EFC

A clash of footballing philosophies between Guardiola & Allardyce today.. Long ball coming to nothing after every kick off summed it up. This #MCFC team are the best in the world at the moment & #EFC payed the price for standing off and letting City play rather than pressing

Do I want Allardyce out? I never wanted him in the first place. Am I confident the current l'ship at the club will finally appoint the right man? In a word – no #EFC

Fortunately we can’t, but if you go week in week out and watch the same old Allardyce boring, sit-back, hoof ball, are you going to renew your season tickets with Big fat Sam next year? #EFC
