Everton forced to abandon transfer plans, Chelsea ace considered instead

According to reports from The Express, Everton have been forced to abandon their transfer pursuit of Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel following the appointment of Steve Walsh.

But according to The Express, the 51-year-old has promised not to target any Leicester City stars during his first transfer window at Goodison Park as part of the deal that saw him move from the east Midlands.

That means the Toffees have been forced to drop their pursuit of the King Power Stadium outfit’s No.1 Kasper Schmeichel, who was being lined up as a long-term successor to Tim Howard.

However, with Joel Robles failing to convince,¬†Newcastle United’s Tim Krul and Chelsea understudy Asmir Begovic are on Everton’s list of potential alternatives to the¬†shot-stopping title winner.
