Everton interim manager David Unsworth has hailed Jonjoe Kenny for his impressive adaptation to Premier League football.
Kenny, who was a part of the England Under-20 team that won the World Cup during the summer, has started all five of Everton’s matches under the leadership of Unsworth.
The 20-year-old did not make his full debut for the Toffees until September, but has developed into a key player for the club’s interim manager.
Unsworth, who is still in charge of the Merseyside club until further notice, has paid tribute to Kenny for taking to Premier League football since his introduction to the team.
Unsworth told evertontv:
“Jonjoe is getting better every week, isn’t he. He is a terrific talent. He is somebody I know so well and he looks at home in the Premier League.”
Kenny played a key role in Everton’s Under-23 Premier League 2 title success last season, whilst he played every minute of England’s Under-20 World Cup success in South Korea.
The full-back’s previous experience of senior first-team football came at loan spells with Wigan Athletic and Oxford United.
