The 22-year-old signed for the Eredivisie outfit, initially on loan, in summer 2014 and has gone on to bag 35 goals in 57 appearances across all competitions.
That includes a potent return of 24 goals last season, 19 of which came in the Dutch top flight.
According to France Football, a number of French clubs are targeting the 6 foot 2 assassin, who used to ply his trade with Auxerre and boasts an impressive record of 21 goals in 45 appearances for France at youth level.
But due to the enormous financial firepower of the Premier League, it’s claimed the Toffees are currently leading the race to sign Haller.

It’s likely Haller is being targeting as backup to Romelu Lukaku, with Arouna Kone and Oumar Niasse struggling to convince as understudies last season.
