Everton play host to Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday with manager Sam Allardyce surely tempted to make a number of changes to the starting XI that were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend, and we are predicting that he will do exactly that.

The 63-year-old began with a 3-4-2-1 formation against the Gunners to accommodate new boy Eliaquim Mangala in north London, but it would certainly be no surprise to see him revert to the more commonly used 4-2-3-1 system against the Eagles.

The likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Wayne Rooney and Cenk Tosun all found themselves on the substitutes’ bench against Arsene Wenger’s side, and they will be pushing for recalls in what was a disastrous display with stars like Morgan Schneiderlin and Yannick Bolasie failing to make an impact.

The Merseyside outfit have taken four points from their last two Premier League matches on their own patch, and they will be looking for another three points on Saturday given they are only seven points above the relegation zone.

Here is how we think the Toffees could line up at Goodison Park…

(4-2-3-1): Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Mangala, Martina; Gueye, Davies; Walcott, Rooney, Sigurdsson; Niasse.

We believe Allardyce will change things after the Arsenal debacle, with Schneiderlin and Ashley Williams among those dropping out of the XI, but there will still be no spot for £27m January addition Tosun, who will likely be on the bench again.
