Everton had enjoyed a blistering start to the new Premier League campaign but in recent weeks, the tide has slowly begun to turn against Ronald Koeman's men.

After a frustrating 2-1 away defeat to Burnley last weekend, Everton are now four games without a win in the Premier League - albeit with an away draw against Manchester City on the board.

But after dominating proceedings at Turf Moor, Koeman won't be too worried going into this weekend's tie with West Ham United (which is our Fixture in Focus) having not won in handful of matches.

His side are still playing well and fighting but on a couple of occasions now they have been unlucky to not come away from games with all three points.

They've got another chance to gain ground on their top six rivals when they host West Ham United on Sunday, a game they're expected to win.

So with that in mind, here's the Everton XI we think will pick up all three points against the Hammers...

GK: Maarten Stekelenburg

Maarten Stekelenburg

Maarten Stekelenburg has been in fine form for the Toffees so far this season and much of his good work came during that resolute performance at the Etihad Stadium.

Although at fault for Burnley's opener last weekend, he remains a solid option between the sticks.

RB: Seamus Coleman

Seamus Coleman

Everton's Mr Reliable at full-back is Seamus Coleman, who has now been with the Toffees for over eight years.

His endeavour, willingness to get forward and ability to defend have made him a real Goodison Park favourite and he'll be looking to keep Dimitri Payet quiet this weekend.

CB: Phil Jagielka

Phil Jagielka

Another veteran in this Everton set-up is Phil Jagielka, who has been involved in spells of form like this for years now.

He'll know his team-mates are capable of turning around this slightly barren run and he'll be looking to keep things solid against the Hammers, who have started to pick up their form recently.

CB: Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams block

A summer signing from Swansea City, Ashley Williams has slotted into this Everton back four with ease.

He's an extremely competent defender and Everton did well to win the race for his signature. He and Jagielka have started extremely well and this is a partnership that could see the Toffees compete for European football come the end of the campaign.

With Leighton Baines still ruled out with a hamstring complaint, left-sided defending duties are likely to be handed to Bryan Oviedo once again.

The Costa Rican international has really had to bide his time for a first-team role and there was little he could have done to prevent Burnley's two strikes. Will be looking to impress his manager against the Hammers.

CDM: Idrissa Gueye

Idrissa Gueye

Yet again it was Idrissa Gueye grabbing the headlines for Everton after another superb performance in the middle-of-the-park last weekend.

The Toffees might struggle to hang onto him in the coming months, with his quality shining through in every game he plays, even in those his team lose.

CDM: Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry

He might be nearing 36, but that hasn't stopped Gareth Barry continuing to be a real force in this Everton set-up.

He's cool, calm and collected and whilst Idrissa Gueye does all the hassling in the midfield, he's quite happy to move the ball side to side to get Everton on their way.

RM: Gerard Deulofeu

We're opting with Spanish speedster Gerard Deulofeu ahead of Kevin Mirallas on this occasion, just because we feel the Toffees need to mix it up a little.

Belgian international Mirallas had a couple of opportunities to score last weekend and didn't take them and Koeman should now be utilising the whole of his squad, especially after a spell of bad form.

CAM: Ross Barkley

Everton v Crystal Palace - Premier League

Ross Barkley was restored to the side having been dropped for the game against Manchester City and he looked a lot more productive going forward against the Clarets.

He tested Tom Heaton with a fierce drive in the first half and moved the ball on well in the final third.

LM: Yannick Bolasie

Bolasie

Congolese international Yannick Bolasie scored his first Toffees goal against the Clarets and despite their fight-back, it was another good display by the former Palace man.

He gives this Everton side so much pace and skill going forward, whilst his link-up play with Lukaku is ever-improving.

ST: Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku came agonisingly close on a couple of occasions against Burnley and he'll be looking to ensure all three points remain on Merseyside when the Hammers visit on Sunday.

He might not contribute fantastically to general play but he's a man that can always pop up with a goal at the right time.
