Everton plotting move for Chelsea hit-man

Everton have made an early approach to take Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea for the looming 2015/16 season, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old shone in the Championship with Middlesbrough last term, but his 19 goals in the red shirt were not accompanied by promotion to the top tier for the North East outfit.

Bamford has already admitted that, although his future lies with Chelsea, he’s ready to make another loan move to boost his development, and the Premier League appears to be the next logical step for the starlet.

And this appears to have alerted Everton chief Roberto Martinez, who has reportedly approached Jose Mourinho’s side to discuss the prospect of a temporary deal.

Other clubs are thought to be keen, but the Spaniard’s style of progressive and attractive football could be a factor.

Bamford may follow, according to reports, Tom Cleverley and Gerard Deulofeu to Goodison Park this summer.
