Everton plotting smart move for 63-cap England international as part of late transfer flurry

Everton are planning a loan move for Manchester City’s Joe Hart as part of a late flurry of transfer business ahead of the looming transfer deadline, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Toffees have struggled to draft in a number of targets through the summer despite serious investment from Iranian billionaire, Farhad Moshiri, and the arrival of Ronald Koeman as their new manager.

It has, however, picked up over the past couple of weeks on the blue half of Merseyside, with the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Williams having been followed to Goodison Park by Yannick Bolasie today, and reports claim that Hart is now wanted.

The 63-cap England international has been told he’ll be free to leave Man City should a replacement be signed to become Pep Guardiola’s No.1, and with Claudio Bravo close to a £17m switch, his exit looks likely.

Everton are prepared to take Hart on an initial loan deal and will be able to offer the 29-year-old guaranteed first-team football.

The Daily Mail also mention the likes of Rachid Ghezzal, Juan Mata, Asmir Begovic and Loic Remy as targets, albeit the latter two may be makeweights in a deal for Romelu Lukaku to go to Chelsea.
