Everton are seemingly preparing for life without John Stones, with the Merseyside club linked with Dutch centre-half Bruno Indi Martins in The Sun.
The Toffees valiantly held onto their prize asset last summer as Chelsea circled, with the England international staying at Goodison Park as a result.
However, with Everton failing to qualify for Europe in 2015-16 and as such the club are expected to be raided for Stones again this summer.
Manchester City are said to be willing to part company with £50 million to land the star, which would leave Ronald Koeman seeking a replacement.
The Dutch manager is said to be considering a move for his compatriot, who is currently on Porto’s books, playing 23 league games for the Portuguese giants last term.
A £12.5 million offer for the 24-year-old is said to be forthcoming, with Indi Martins having the power, presence and experience to potentially be a shrewd acquisition on Merseyside.
