Barcelona midfielder Rafinha is once again being linked with a move away from Camp Nou, and Everton should make a January move for the Brazilian.

What's the story?

Rafinha has been with Barcelona since 2006, and after progressing through the youth system, has gone on to make 86 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions.

A long-term knee injury saw Rafinha miss the first half of last season, but he returned to action in January, and moved on loan to Inter Milan for the rest of the campaign.

Inter turned down the chance to sign the South American on a permanent deal during the summer, and Rafinha has made seven appearances for Barcelona this term.

The 25-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from Camp Nou though, and it is thought that a January exit could take place.

Roma are the latest team to be linked with Rafinha, but Everton should be in the race to sign the versatile midfielder at the start of 2019.

Why should Everton move for Rafinha?

Rafinha might be surplus to requirements at Barcelona, but this is a player who has scored 12 times in 86 appearances for one of the best club teams in world football.

Rafinha will not turn 26 until next February, meanwhile, and there is absolutely no question that he has the qualities to be a success in the Premier League.

The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below...

The 5ft 8in ace is capable of playing in a number of different positions in the final third of the field, and Richarlison would certainly welcome his arrival at Goodison Park.

Indeed, the pair recently spent the international break together, and Richarlison would only improve alongside players of Rafinha's ilk and indeed experience.

There will be a number of clubs closely monitoring developments, but Everton really should be in the mix for the talented playmaker.
