Everton supporters have reacted to the news of Aaron Lennon’s departure on Twitter.

The 30-year-old winger has today (Tuesday) joined Burnley on loan for an undisclosed fee. During his time at Goodison Park, the experienced Englishman attained 77 first-team appearances, scoring nine goals.

Lennon initially joined Everton from Tottenham on loan for the second half of the 2014/15 season, scoring twice in 14 games. That summer, the winger joined the Toffees on a permanent basis and had always played with great commitment to the Merseyside team.

Lennon is widely considered as a fan favourite by Tottenham supporters, having spent nine-and-a-half years of his career with the North London team. During that time the Burnley wideman amassed 364 appearances scoring a total of 30 goals. To date, he has won major honour to his name, having won the League Cup with Spurs, and he also attained 21 caps for England.
