Everton to launch £11.3m move for West Ham target, selling club have replacement in mind

Everton are set to test Lyon’s desire to keep hold of Rachid Ghezzal before the end of the transfer window with a €13m (£11.3m) offer for the winger, according to reports from Le 10 Sport.

The Toffees’ transfer business has kicked into overdrive during the course of the past few weeks, with moves for Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams and Yannick Bolasie having been secured, while John Stones has moved to Manchester City for close to £50m.

Despite the quantity of incomings, the Merseyside club remain in the market for additions, and reports claim that Ghezzal is on their agenda.

The 24-year-old attacker, who was the subject of a €8m (£6.8m) bid from West Ham recently, has impressed with Lyon, shining in a team that’s been dominated by star forward Alexandre Lacazette.

It’s understood that Everton are plotting an offer worth £11.6m for his signature, and the Ligue 1 club already have Rennes’ Paul-Georges Ntep in mind as a replacement.
