According to Get German Football News, Everton have offered £19.3m for Hannover 96 forward Niclas Fullkrug as they look to beat Newcastle United to his signature.
Indeed, the 25-year-old scored 16 times in 36 appearances for Hannover last season, and could well be a replacement for Dwight Gayle as speculation surrounding the future of the Newcastle forward gathers pace.
Standing at 6ft 2in, there is no question that Fullkrug has the physical attributes to play in the Premier League, and he could become a cult hero at Newcastle.
It is no secret that Magpies boss Rafael Benitez is in the market for a new number nine this summer, but it does appear that he will have to battle a number of clubs for the German.
Well, according to Get German Football News, the Toffees have made a £19.3m bid for Fullkrug as they look to seal his signature ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The forward, who netted 14 Bundesliga goals in 34 appearances last term, has a contract with Hannover until the summer of 2020.
And it is being reported that the German outfit want more than £20m.
Everton already have Cenk Tosun in the final third of the field, but Wayne Rooney could well move on this summer, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been linked with an exit.
New Toffees boss Marco Silva does need to freshen his options in the final third of the field, and Fullkrug could well be an inspired signing if the Merseyside outfit manage to beat the likes of Newcastle to his signature.
