Everton’s summer signing Andre Gomes reveals softer side as he hugs young fan

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes made his debut for the club last Sunday after his summer loan move from Barcelona, and fans of the Toffees have clearly connected with the 25-year-old already as he was recently pictured hugging a young fan with Down syndrome at anĀ Everton in the Community (EITC) event.

The Portuguese international started and helped his side to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park last weekend, but it was in a small-sided game on Wednesday at the training ground where Gomes made the young fan’s day.

The whole Everton squad, including manager Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands, attended the EITC eventĀ at Finch Farm intended to highlight the work that the club’s Charity do in the local area.

EITC was established in 1988 and aims to tackle social issues across Merseyside.
