Everton’s transfer plans could suffer as a result of mega Man United move

Juventus could turn to Everton-linked Belgium international Axel Witsel if Manchester United seal their much talked about world-record move for Paul Pogba, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Frenchman has been aligned with the Red Devils for much of the summer, and the Guardian are claiming that an increase of £8.3m on their initial £92m, plus add-ons, offer will get a deal over the line.

Should the move go ahead, Juventus will have a hole in their midfield to fill and a vast amount of cash to use, and reports claim that Witsel is an option.

The Zenit Saint Petersburg ace has been aligned with Everton in recent weeks, with Ronald Koeman’s side thought to be willing to pay £25.1m to lure the 27-year-old to Merseyside.

However, with Juve boasting Champions League football and a five Serie A wins on the spin, it’s likely that Turin will be more appealing than Liverpool for Witsel.
